Framptons’ eye-catching Into Somerset trailer will be a
prominent feature at this year’s Wessex Truck Show, event organisers have
announced.
Taking place at the Yeovil Showground
on 9th and 10th August, the family-friendly event is
expected to attract between 8,000 and 10,000 people, including many from
outside the South West.
Event organiser David Cross, himself a truck driver,
approached Framptons after spotting one of the Into Somerset branded trailers
on the M5. He explained, “The Into Somerset lorry became a part of the Wessex
Truck Show purely by chance. I saw the trailer on the motorway and thought it
would be a great thing to have at the show as it promotes many of the
well-known parts of Somerset and its successful businesses.
“I contacted Framptons and they were more than happy to
oblige by loaning us a trailer for the event. It is great for us to have such a
high profile company as Framptons supporting us to help promote the local
area.”
Part of the Framptons Transport Services fleet, the trailers feature curtain livery based on Into Somerset’s distinctive ‘So Well Connected’ campaign, which highlights many of the successful brands already based in Somerset. While Framptons goes about its distribution work, the message that Somerset is a great place to do business has been on show up and down the UK’s motorways since March 2013.
Rupert Cox, CEO of inward investment
organisation Into Somerset, said, “We are delighted that the Into Somerset
branded trailer will have such a high profile presence at this year’s Wessex
Truck Show and are very grateful to Framptons for their ongoing support. The
Wessex Truck Show is already going from strength to strength, highlighting the
successful and entrepreneurial nature that is such an inherent part of
Somerset, and we wish them every success with this year’s event.”
Only in its second year, the Wessex Truck Show is already
attracting national attention among truck enthusiasts and exhibitors, with
entrants coming from across the UK and online ticket orders received from as
far afield as Kent, Birmingham and Wales. Around 450 trucks will be on show at
the 2014 event, a third more than last year, with about 50 exhibitor trade
stands also on-site. Further details and ticket information can be found at www.wessextruckshow.co.uk
