Organisers of FPS EXPO 2015, the biggest exhibition dedicated to the liquid fuels industry and its suppliers, FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers) say the 2015 show is set to see many exciting new features to the two day exhibition which takes place in Harrogate on 22-23 April 2015.
New
for 2015 is a first night exhibitor and visitor networking drinks reception to
take place as the show comes to a close on the opening night. Show
organisers the FPS say this has been introduced at the request of many exhibitors
and visitors alike who wanted to stay longer at the exhibition and also to give
everyone a chance to network in an informal environment.
The
FPS also say they are on target to extend the exhibition into five halls for
the 1st time at Harrogate following a greater interest from a more
diverse range of exhibitors from tanker manufacturers through to software
companies, distributors and
equipment suppliers wanting to exhibit
the latest advances in oil distribution technology.
A
further change to the show will for the first time see the gala dinner which is
normally held on the final evening of the EXPO moving to another time in the
year. The Driver of the Year award and Depot of the Year
award which are normally announced at the dinner will still take place in the
FPS calendar but the driver of the year will be awarded in March 2015 & the
Depot of the year in June 2015. The awards will be presented at the winner’s
depots by the sponsors and the FPS Chief Executive Mark Askew.
Mark
Askew comments: “These awards are very important to everyone at the winning
companies and we felt that by presenting the awards at the winner’s premises
the whole company could share in the success.”
Following
a very successful show at Harrogate in 2014, with record attendees the FPS are
hoping to go one better in their final year at Harrogate before the show moves
to Liverpool’s new exhibition centre the ACC in 2016, where FPS EXPO will then
stay for 3 years.
FPS
2015 will mark the 35th year of the exhibition and the FPS Team are pleased to
announce that with 8 months to go, over 70% of the available floor space is
booked. This annual event continues to receive serious commitment from
all the major suppliers - already many companies from both the UK and Europe
have secured their participation including MAN
Truck & Bus UK Ltd, Scania, Road Tankers Northern (RTN), Williams Tanker
Services, Phillips 66 together with DAF Trucks who are returning for a 2nd
time following a successful show in 2014. Alongside those companies we
have regular exhibitors like Alpeco Ltd, Filtertechnik Ltd and Herbst Software
together with first time exhibitors Tankquip, KDC Contractors Ltd and Energy Trading Hub.
"Interest
in FPS EXPO 2015 has built rapidly in the last ten years. We have grown
continuously to become the most important annual event in the liquid fuel
industry’s calendar. Already many suppliers have booked their space
requirements at FPS 2015 and shown interest in reserving space for 2016,"
says Dawn Shakespeare, Marketing & Events Manager for the FPS (Federation
of Petroleum Suppliers), and organiser of the exhibition.
“Cost savings will no doubt dominate the agenda for
those attending the exhibition, but visitors will be able to see various
innovative features from industry renowned exhibitors demonstrating the latest
technological developments and with changes to both the format, layout and
number of exhibitors this should add up to being an excellent year for FPS
EXPO,” adds Dawn.
